Deck overview

This is a Mono-Black discard-and-sacrifice control deck helmed by Tergrid, God of Fright, built to force opponents to shed cards and permanents, then steal the best of what they lose. The front face turns every opponent discard or sacrifice into a theft trigger, while the back face, Tergrid's Lantern, provides a repeatable command-zone discard/sacrifice engine that can be untapped for sustained pressure. The deck layers three overlapping payoffs: Tergrid's theft, discard-punishment drain (Megrim, Liliana's Caress, Waste Not, Geth's Grimoire, Feast of Sanity), and life-total attrition (Syr Konrad, the Grim, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Fraying Omnipotence, Rush of Dread). It plays a grindy, incremental game - strip hands, force sacrifices, and convert every loss into cards, mana, zombies, or stolen permanents. There is no fast combo; the deck wins through inevitability and resource denial.
