Deck overview

This deck is an Esper battlecruiser list commanded by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. Its strategy centers on manipulating the top card of the library using tools like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, and Doom Whisperer to cheat massive odd-cost spells into play for free when Yennett attacks. On Turn 5, Yennett reliably cheats out game-altering threats such as Void Winnower, Toxrill, the Corrosive, Breach the Multiverse, and Akroma's Memorial. These permanents establish heavy asymmetric disruption and an overwhelming board presence. The deck closes the game through multi-turn combat damage from evasive fliers and reanimated beaters. While the deck boasts immense board presence and continuous value, its reliance on combat timing, absence of counterspells, and vulnerability to spot removal keep its finish speed measured across 3 opponent response cycles.
