Format: Commander

Commander: Zenos yae Galvus // Shinryu, Transcendent Rival

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black deck is built around the transform mechanic of Zenos yae Galvus // Shinryu, Transcendent Rival. The primary plan is to deploy the commander early, suit it up with a dense equipment suite (Vorpal Sword, Genji Glove, Leyline Axe, etc.), and attack to trigger the transform condition. Once Shinryu, Transcendent Rival appears, the deck focuses on eliminating the chosen opponent through commander damage, direct life-loss spells (Exsanguinate, Gray Merchant of Asphodel), or the alternate win condition of Vorpal Sword's game-loss activation. The deck also packs heavy board wipes (Toxic Deluge, Mutilate) and life-drain effects to control the table while building toward its Voltron finish.
