Zaxara 1.0 by Johnnyblamz

Format: Commander

Commander: Zaxara, the Exemplary

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Sultai deck is a focused X-spell Hydra value engine helmed by Zaxara, the Exemplary. The plan is to ramp hard, cast spells with {X} in their cost to trigger Zaxara's 0/0 Hydra token creation, and multiply the resulting +1/+1 counters with Doubling Season, Branching Evolution, Corpsejack Menace, and Unbound Flourishing. Zaxara doubles as a two-mana dork, feeding the very X-spells that grow the board. Wins come through combat with giant, often unblockable Hydras (Herald of Secret Streams), or through X-spell finishers like Exsanguinate, Villainous Wealth, and a huge Finale of Revelation/Hydroid Krasis draw engine. The deck is a midrange value pile that converts mana into enormous creatures and card advantage, protected by a solid instant-speed interaction suite.
