Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Olag and Miau, New Friends, a hybrid tribal commander that bridges Cats and Zombies in Abzan colors. The core game plan blends token generation, +1/+1 counter distribution, and steady life loss. Whenever a Zombie enters, it places a counter on a Cat, and whenever a Cat enters, it buffs a Zombie. The real power comes at each end step, where each opponent loses life equal to your tapped Cats and Zombies. By attacking every turn with evasive or trample-granting lords like Bast, Panther Goddess and Death Baron, the deck inflicts substantial combat damage while simultaneously draining the entire table. High-impact finishers such as Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Return of the Wildspeaker, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord accelerate the clock to close games by turn 7. The list is supported by a comprehensive Abzan removal suite and flexible instant-speed protection.
