Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed leads a slow Esper spell-slinger deck that converts noncreature spells into damage, life gain, and cards. The primary plan is attrition: protect Y'shtola, cast a mana-value-3-or-greater noncreature spell every turn, and let her 2-point drain stack with Papalymo, wizard tokens, Bloodchief Ascension, and Kambal. The secondary path is a Sanguine Bond + Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose life-gain combo, often triggered by Beacon of Immortality or Exsanguinate. G'raha Tia acts as a hidden commander, turning those same spells into large Hero tokens as a combat backup. The commander is the engine, but the deck can still grind out wins without her.
