Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered competitive Dimir combo list designed to execute fast, protected wins while maintaining strong midrange adaptability. Led by Emet-Selch of the Third Seat, the deck leverages efficient graveyard recursion and mana cost reduction to reuse key spells whenever opponents lose life. The primary win condition is the premier cEDH combination of Thassa's Oracle with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, capable of closing games as early as Turn 2 or 3. Fast mana acceleration from cards like Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, and Dark Ritual enables explosive starts and early deployment of massive card engines such as Ad Nauseam, Necropotence, and The One Ring. The list also features a robust secondary combo with Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank, alongside potent stax and tax pieces like Opposition Agent and Orcish Bowmasters. A deep suite of free countermagic ensures high resilience throughout all phases.
