The Great Goblin by user8952083

Format: Commander

Commander: The Great Goblin

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Led by The Great Goblin, this deck is a Rakdos (B/R) Goblin-Orc tribal strategy that weaponizes +1/+1 counters and death triggers. The commander converts every counter placed on a Goblin, Orc, or Army into 2 damage to an opponent, while also exiling the top card of your library when such a creature dies, letting you play it on borrowed time. The deck balances go-wide token production (Krenko, Mob Boss, Dreadhorde Invasion) with sacrifice outlets (Goblin Bombardment, Ashnod's Altar) and an infinite persist combo featuring Putrid Goblin, Metallic Mimic, and any sacrifice outlet. Secondary win paths include draining via Pashalik Mons and Boggart Cursecrafter or an explosive Assault on Osgiliath to turn your army into double-striking burn. The commander is a valuable engine but not the sole linchpin; the deck can pivot to combat or combo without him.
