Built around Hakbal's combat explore trigger, this Simic Merfolk deck turns early creature development into lands and +1/+1 counters. Hakbal is simultaneously ramp, draw, and a threat that grows each turn. The primary win is a wide counter-heavy attack made unblockable or flying by Herald of Secret Streams, Wonder, Mist Dancer, or islandwalk lords. Secondary paths use token engines (Emperor Mihail II, Deeproot Waters, Namor) and card advantage (Kindred Discovery, Tatyova, The Ten Rings) to outvalue and rebuild. There is no partner or double-faced commander; Emperor Mihail II acts as a hidden engine that Seahunter can tutor. The deck has no compact combo or one-shot finisher, so it wins through incremental combat and board presence.
