Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Zombie tribal aristocrats build helmed by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The primary strategy focuses on establishing early Zombie fodder, casting Wilhelt on Turn 4, and leveraging his death triggers to generate an army of decayed Zombie tokens. These tokens fuel ongoing card advantage and trigger life-draining enchantments and creatures such as Bastion of Remembrance, Diregraf Captain, and Vengeful Dead. By Turn 6, the deck assembles critical mass, putting the table on a two-turn lethal clock via chip combat damage and repeated sacrifice triggers. While the deck contains powerful high-end synergies like Rooftop Storm and Grave Pact, it functions primarily as an attrition-based aristocrats engine. Its interactive package features efficient countermagic and creature removal to protect key pieces, though it remains vulnerable to mass exile wipes and dedicated graveyard hate that bypasses its recursive death triggers.
