Commander: Kotis, the Fangkeeper

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Sultai combat-voltron deck built to leverage Kotis, the Fangkeeper's unique triggered ability: dealing combat damage exiles that many cards from the opponent's library and lets you cast any number of spells with mana value equal to or less than the damage for free. The primary game plan is to make Kotis unblockable (Aqueous Form, Rogue's Passage, Prowler's Helm), pump his power (Invigorate, Giant Growth, Sword of Vengeance), and give him double strike (Fireshrieker) to maximize the exile-and-cast trigger. The deck also includes a secondary value engine in The Thirteenth Doctor, which puts +1/+1 counters on Kotis when you cast spells from exile (its Paradox trigger) and untaps him each end step, enabling repeated attacks. Without a dedicated infinite combo, the deck aims to win through incremental commander damage and the incidental card advantage from free spells. The mana base is solid but includes several tapped lands, and the interaction suite is modest. Overall, it's a fair midrange combat deck that relies heavily on Kotis sticking on the battlefield to generate its primary advantage.
