Format: Commander

Commander: Bard, King of Dale

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Bard, King of Dale is an Azorius draw-and-token multiplication engine. The primary plan is to convert Bard's replacement draw into repeated 'second card' payoffs such as Prince Imrahil, Mischievous Mystic, and Homunculus Horde, while Mondrak and Exalted Sunborn double every resulting token. A critical-mass board finishes with Akroma's Will or Moonshaker Cavalry. Psychosis Crawler offers a secondary draw-based win, and Caretaker's Talent can scale the army. The commander is the engine's centerpiece, but the 99 contains enough redundant draw payoffs, token doublers, and interaction that the deck remains functional at a slower pace if Bard is answered. There is no hidden commander; the DFCs in the 99 are support/utility pieces.
