Deck overview

Shirei is a single-faced engine commander: the deck's primary plan is to sacrifice small, self-returning creatures and turn every death into repeated life loss. Syr Konrad, the Grim and Arnyn, Deathbloom Botanist act as hidden commanders, multiplying the drain. Secondary plans include Gray Merchant devotion bursts, token generation from Open the Graves, Tormod, and Desecrated Tomb, plus incremental monarch value from Grave Venerations. The deck is deliberately slow and grindy; protection and recursion matter more than speed. Keeping Shirei alive with instant-speed protection and regeneration is essential because most of the engine's repeatability disappears without it.
