Deck overview

This mono-red deck combines group slug land punishment with discard-based burn. Commanded by Zo-Zu the Punisher, it taxes every land entry for direct damage, penalizing opponents who ramp or play multiple lands. Redundant artifacts like Ankh of Mishra stack this tax, while mass land punishers like From the Ashes and Ruination punish greedy multi-color mana bases. Concurrently, the deck runs a discard engine featuring Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Magmakin Artillerist, and Spider-Man, New Champion, converting card draw and cycling from Tectonic Reformation, Faithless Looting, and Ox of Agonas into steady table-wide damage. Damage amplifiers such as Spiked Corridor // Torture Pit, Artist's Talent, and The Rollercrusher Ride escalate this noncombat damage into lethal territory. The deck controls the board with artifact destruction and creature sweepers like Blasphemous Act, closing out games on Turn 8 through relentless life attrition.
