Animar Commander (Updating) by mazz

Format: Commander

Commander: Animar, Soul of Elements

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Animar is the cost-reduction engine and counter hub. The deck's primary plan is to cast cheap creatures to grow Animar, then use Ancestral Statue as a free self-bouncing creature to generate infinite creature casts and infinite damage through Impact Tremors or Molten Gatekeeper. Secondary paths include a Hullbreaker Horror + Sol Ring + Tidespout Tyrant infinite mana/cast engine, Simic Ascendancy counter win, and a huge hasted Animar for commander damage. Hullbreaker Horror functions as a hidden commander for the non-Animar combo line. A deep tutor suite and instant-speed protection keep the deck consistent and resistant to disruption.
