Deck overview

This is a Rakdos spell-burn deck built around Kuja, Genome Sorcerer. The deck creates Wizard tokens and rewards casting noncreature spells with repeated damage to each opponent. Kuja becomes much stronger after transforming because Wizard damage is doubled, while cards such as Guttersnipe, Firebrand Archer, Fiery Inscription, and Black Waltz No. 3 add more triggers. The plan is cohesive, but it is slow to assemble because it has little early acceleration, limited tutoring, and many tapped lands. Its strongest draws can produce a large burn turn with Artist's Talent, Dictate of the Twin Gods, Storm-Kiln Artist, and cheap spells. Ordinary draws do not reliably assemble those pieces together, and the deck has no deterministic kill or total lock. Removal is broad but mostly one-for-one, while protection is narrow and intermittent. It is best played as a value-oriented engine deck that builds a board, converts card-draw spells into damage, and uses burn and removal to control the table rather than as a fast combo deck.
