Deck overview

This deck is an explosive creature-centric engine led by Animar, Soul of Elements. It leverages low-cost mana dorks and Elementals on the early turns to rapidly accumulate +1/+1 counters on Animar. As counters build, Animar discounts generic mana costs on all creature spells, allowing the pilot to chain creatures together at high velocity. Card draw engines such as Beast Whisperer, Guardian Project, and Risen Reef ensure a full hand while deploying the board. The deck wins by overwhelming opponents with high-power threats like Maelstrom Wanderer, Omnath, Locus of Rage, and Desolation Twin, backed by overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede. It also contains a compact infinite combo between Animar and Ancestral Statue to create an arbitrarily large commander. While Animar has native protection from white and black, the deck remains vulnerable to board wipes and non-targeted removal.
