The Astonishing Ant-Man 1 by ElderSlug

Format: Commander

Commander: The Astonishing Ant-Man

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Astonishing Ant-Man helms a Simic counters deck that turns every draw trigger into +1/+1 counters and then into a board of tokens. The primary plan is to assemble a draw-trigger engine with Pensive Professor plus Iron Man or Lyla, use it to draw the library, generate infinite counters and tokens, and finish with Craterhoof Behemoth. Secondary plans use the Scurry Oak and Ivy Lane Denizen infinite token loop, plus Simic Ascendancy or Twenty-Toed Toad as alternate win conditions. The commander acts as a cheap, replaceable value piece, but because no combo requires it, the deck runs at full capacity even if Ant-Man is removed or never cast.
