Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Dimir tempo and combo build piloted by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary strategy leverages cheap, evasive one-drop creatures to trigger Commander Ninjutsu on Turn 2. Because Ninjutsu activates directly from the command zone for {U}{B} and completely bypasses commander tax, Yuriko creates immediate card advantage and table-wide burn damage. The deck maximizes this mechanic by pairing low-cost enablers with high-mana-value delve and pitch spells like Shadow of Mortality, Force of Will, and Temporal Trespass, dealing massive trigger damage while preserving a low effective mana curve. To close games swiftly, the deck seamlessly transitions into compact two-card win conditions: Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, as well as structured Doomsday piles. A deep suite of free countermagic and efficient removal protects combo turns while keeping opposing competitive strategies firmly in check.
