Deck overview

This 4-color Wizard spellslinger deck leverages Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder to cascade into a dense package of instants, sorceries, and Wizard synergies. The primary game plan is to connect with Yidris, chain low cmc spells via cascade, generate massive card advantage through engines like Archmage Emeritus and Kindred Discovery, and eventually lock opponents out with extra turns (Time Warp, Timestream Navigator). The deck lacks a single deterministic infinite combo, relying instead on overwhelming value and combat inevitability. With a high density of interaction and strong recursion from Lier, Disciple of the Drowned and Kess, Dissident Mage, it can grind out games, though its lack of fast mana and tutors makes it slower and less consistent than optimized lists.
