doctor aurlock retrace by toucanfish

Format: Commander

Commander: Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Doc Aurlock leads a Simic self-mill/graveyard-recursion deck. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard with lands and spells, then recast them at a discount. Hedron Crab, Tracker's Instincts, and dredge loops put cards in the graveyard, while Life from the Loam and Six keep lands flowing. The cleanest noncombat finish is Biovisionary plus repeated retrace copies from Spitting Image; combat backups include Rumbleweed, Railway Brawler, and stolen permanents via Blatant Thievery. The Titania/Argoth meld pair is a value subtheme rather than the main route. Doc is an enabler, not a required engine, so the deck can pivot to hardcasting fatties if the graveyard is disrupted.
