Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan graveyard toolbox and reanimator strategy commanded by Karador, Ghost Chieftain. The game plan revolves around rapidly filling the graveyard through self-mill, dredge, and discard enablers like Stitcher's Supplier, Life from the Loam, and Stinkweed Imp. A populated graveyard reduces Karador's casting cost down to three mana, enabling repeatable access to utility creatures, removal, and ramp from the graveyard every turn. The deck scales its mana through graveyard land-recovery effects like Splendid Reclamation and Aftermath Analyst. It wins by assembling massive life-drain and mill payoffs with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Altar of Dementia, or by casting a decisive Eerie Ultimatum to return all permanents to the battlefield simultaneously. While highly resilient to creature board wipes due to Karador's built-in cost reduction, the deck remains vulnerable to targeted graveyard exile and lacks stack-based countermagic.
