modern warfare v2 by boog6

Format: Commander

Commander: Ares, God of War

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Ares, God of War is a Rakdos combat-value commander who turns dying attackers into free recursion. The primary plan is to attack aggressively, let expendable creatures die, and return them to hand to redeploy with haste enablers, death payoffs, and goad. Secondary paths use theft/cast-from-exile effects (Gonti, Grenzo, Black Cat, Kefka, Sepulchral Primordial) to convert opponents' cards into damage, plus death-drain payoffs like Syr Konrad and Bastion of Remembrance. Ares also feeds an extra-combat package with Akki Battle Squad and Genji Glove/Blade of Selves. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built entirely around the repeated-attack loop Ares provides.
