Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black attrition and Voltron control strategy led by Vincent Valentine // Galian Beast. The game plan uses symmetric sacrifice creatures like Fleshbag Marauder and Accursed Marauder to clear opposing boards while pumping Vincent with +1/+1 counters equal to the power of dying creatures. Once Vincent attacks, he transforms into Galian Beast, gaining trample and lifelink to pressure life totals and threaten lethal commander damage. Built-in recursion on the reverse side ensures that destroy removal simply resets Vincent to the battlefield. The deck amplifies this combat pressure with powerful life-drain synergies like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Enduring Tenacity, converting combat lifegain into direct burn against secondary opponents. Strong mana ramp from Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast fuels late-game haymakers like Rise of the Dark Realms and Massacre Wurm if combat is delayed.
