Break in Case of Losing all Night by Poros

Format: Commander

Commander: Shalai and Hallar

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Naya counters deck uses Shalai and Hallar as a direct damage outlet: every +1/+1 counter you place pings an opponent. You flood the board with small creatures and counter doublers like Hardened Scales, Kami of Whispered Hopes and Cathars' Crusade to turn each entry into multiple pings. The hidden engine is the Heliod lifegain loop with Soul Warden, Essence Warden or Prosperous Innkeeper paired with Scurry Oak or Herd Baloth for infinite tokens, life and counters, with All Will Be One plus The Red Terror as a second infinite damage loop. Shalai is the main finisher but not the only one, so the deck wins even without her.
