Archelos Earthbender by JDOG2598

Format: Commander

Commander: Archelos, Lagoon Mystic

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Led by Archelos, Lagoon Mystic, this is a landfall-value midrange deck that leverages the commander's "enter untapped" ability to accelerate mana and synergize with Amulet of Vigor. The deck's primary win condition is overwhelming combat damage generated through landfall token producers (Avenger of Zendikar, Rampaging Baloths) and the overrun finisher Craterhoof Behemoth. A secondary plan uses "earthbend" spells to turn lands into huge haste attackers, further supported by Beastmaster Ascension and Return of the Wildspeaker. The strategy is to ramp heavily, play multiple extra lands per turn, and convert that mass of lands into a lethal board state. Interaction is solid but not oppressive, and the deck can recover from wipes via its resilient land-threats and recursion spells.
