Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros Equipment Voltron build centered on Lightning, Army of One. Lightning combines first strike, trample, and lifelink with her Stagger ability, which doubles all damage dealt to a player and their permanents once she connects. The strategy accelerates into early equipment deployment using cost-cheating enablers such as Sigarda's Aid, Puresteel Paladin, Bruenor Battlehammer, and Hammer of Nazahn. By Turn 4, Lightning enters combat equipped with massive stat boosters like Colossus Hammer or double-strike enablers like Fireshrieker, creating an immediate lethal commander damage threat. Damage amplifiers like Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar and extra combat cards such as Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Relentless Assault speed up table elimination, aiming to finish all opponents by Turn 6. Tutoring from Stoneforge Mystic and Sunforger secures essential equipment and instant-speed shielding like Teferi's Protection and Boros Charm, giving the deck robust tactical resilience against targeted removal and sweepers.
