Deck overview

This deck leverages Atraxa, Praetors' Voice to helm a synergistic midrange strategy centered on +1/+1 counters, toxic, and infect. The deck accelerates through early mana dorks and signets to deploy Atraxa reliably on Turn 4, initiating a steady stream of end-step proliferations. Combat pressure mounts quickly via evasive threats like Blighted Agent, Thrummingbird, and Bloated Contaminator, or wide boards enhanced by Corpsejack Menace and Herald of Secret Streams. While capable of an infinite counter loop between Enduring Scalelord and Altered Ego, the deck primarily wins through compounding combat damage and poison counters. It features efficient spot removal to handle key threats but relies on natural card flow rather than tutors.
