Deck overview

This deck is a sans-green control and polymorph shell commanded by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The primary plan creates cheap token fodder using cards like Bitterblossom, Skrelv's Hive, or Staff of the Storyteller, then casts Jace on Turn 5 to immediately activate his −3 ability. Because the deck limits its permanent roster to high-impact creatures and planeswalkers, each activation flips into a massive board presence such as Hullbreaker Horror, Serra's Emissary, Avacyn, Angel of Horror, or Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God. The supporting package runs dense interaction, featuring premier countermagic like Force of Will, Mana Drain, and Dovin's Veto, coupled with efficient spot removal and sweepers. While resilient against single-target threats thanks to free protection spells, the deck lacks a compact infinite win condition and must grind out opponents through four combat rotations to deal lethal damage across the table.
