Deck overview

This Orzhov Spirit tribal deck, helmed by King of the Oathbreakers, leverages phasing as both a protective mechanism and a token engine. The commander's triggered ability phases out any targeted Spirit while generating a flying 1/1 token whenever a Spirit phases in. The primary game plan is to generate an overwhelming army of flying Spirit tokens through spells like Spectral Procession, Lingering Souls, and Shadow Summoning, then buff them with anthems such as Intangible Virtue, Moonshaker Cavalry, and Mirror Entity. The deck also includes drain outlets like Devouring Greed and Mirkwood Bats as alternate win conditions. With a dense package of instant-speed phasing effects (Clever Concealment, Eerie Interlude, Guardian of Faith) and the commander's own phasing, the deck is exceptionally resilient against targeted removal and board wipes. It forgoes infinite combos, relying instead on combat inevitability and token redundancy.
