Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Massacre Girl, Known Killer to turn creature combat and removal into a self-sustaining card advantage engine through wither and toughness-reduction triggers. The list blends high-density cycling cards with -1/-1 counter synergies, using Fluctuator and Archfiend of Ifnir to sweep opposing battlefields while drawing through the library. Fast black ramp pieces like Dark Ritual, Sol Ring, and Crypt Ghast accelerate deployment of critical engines such as Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and Nest of Scarabs. Powerful unconditional tutors reliably locate the game-ending loop of Nest of Scarabs, Blowfly Infestation, and Blood Artist, which drains all opponents in a single turn. The deck excels at dominating creature-heavy pods through persistent attrition, reanimation, and board control, though it remains vulnerable to noncreature combo decks and mass enchantment removal.
