Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red Voltron and forced-combat strategy led by Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos. Alexios rotates around the table at the beginning of each player's upkeep, gaining a +1/+1 counter, gaining haste, and being forced to attack a player other than its owner. Because attached Equipment and Auras remain on Alexios while retaining your control, combat triggers like Mask of Memory, Sword of Hearth and Home, and damage multipliers like Lizard Blades and The Sound of Drums trigger repeatedly on every opponent's turn. The deck supports this aggressive clock with protective equipment like Commander's Plate and Swiftfoot Boots, while utilizing Silent Arbiter and goad effects to prevent opponents from mounting counterattacks against your life total.
