Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari lands combo list built around The Gitrog Monster. Its primary game plan uses green ramp spells and self-mill sorceries to develop a high land count, deploying the commander around Turn 5. Once Gitrog is operational, the deck exploits land sacrifice triggers for immense card draw. The primary win condition is the famous Gitrog dredge engine: pairing Gitrog with a free discard outlet such as Noose Constrictor or Wild Mongrel and Dakmor Salvage. By replacing draw triggers with Dredge 2, the deck mills through its library, recycling cards via Dread and Vigor. After drawing the full library, it generates mana with Cadaverous Bloom, casts Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, pumps a discard outlet to massive power, and sacrifices it to drain all three opponents simultaneously. While explosive once assembled, the deck runs limited instant-speed interaction and depends heavily on its commander.
