Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan midrange build focused on +1/+1 counters and token sacrifice synergies, commanded by Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan. The primary plan builds a wide board using token generators like Ophiomancer, Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, and Awakening Zone, then uses Felothar's sacrifice triggers to spread +1/+1 counters across all friendly creatures. Scaling multipliers such as Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Cathars' Crusade rapidly inflate creature power, while cards like Abzan Falconer and Champion of Lambholt grant evasion. The deck also includes an infinite creature and mana combo with Basking Broodscale and Cathars' Crusade. The removal suite efficiently answers all permanent types at instant speed, though the absence of nonland tutors and countermagic means the deck relies on steady combat connections and natural card flow to close out games.
