Format: Commander

Commander: Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Orzhov Aristocrats deck built around Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, with Lurrus of the Dream-Den as a companion enforcing a strict 2-CMC or less permanent restriction. The core strategy is to generate a constant stream of small creatures (tokens from Bitterblossom, Dreadhorde Invasion, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, etc.), sacrifice them to outlets like Viscera Seer or Carrion Feeder, and drain all opponents simultaneously through Elas il-Kor, Cruel Celebrant, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Starscape Cleric. The deck lacks fast combo lines but makes up for it with dense recursion via Lurrus, Raise the Past, Immortal Servitude, and Ascend from Avernus, allowing it to grind out games and rebuild after wipes. The low curve (1.98 average MV) ensures consistent early plays.
