The IRS

Format: Commander

Commander: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Azorius control deck uses Grand Arbiter Augustin IV to establish mana asymmetry, slowing down opponents while discounting its own spells. The early game focuses on setting up tax effects, defensive enchantments like Propaganda and Ghostly Prison, and efficient countermagic to suppress opposing game plans. As the board stabilizes, the deck leverages massive card draw through spells like Mathemagics and Emeritus of Ideation. Victory is achieved either by amassing an insurmountable army of tokens via Myrel, Shield of Argive and Martial Coup boosted by Cathars Crusade, or by assembling an exact thirteen-card hand to win on upkeep with Triskaidekaphile.
