Deck overview

This Grixis Spellslinger deck is commanded by Fire Lord Azula, a commander that generates {R}{R} upon attacking and copies any spell cast during combat. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with 2-mana artifacts and cost reducers, setting up Fire Lord Azula alongside haste equipment. Once attacking on Turn 4 or 5, the deck leverages combat-speed instants like Big Score, Frantic Search, and cantrips to generate massive card draw and Treasure tokens. Payoffs such as Storm-Kiln Artist, Archmage Emeritus, and Guttersnipe convert these copied spells into mana acceleration and burn damage. The deck finishes games on Turn 5 either through a high storm count capped with Grapeshot or via an infinite mana loop using Mana Geyser and Reiterate to copy lethal burn spells across the table. Robust cheap interaction, redirects, and boots protect the combo window.
