Deck overview

This deck is a classic Abzan Fungus and Saproling tribal strategy commanded by Ghave, Guru of Spores. The game plan revolves around accumulating spore counters, generating large swarms of 1/1 Saproling creature tokens, and utilizing sacrifice synergies to modulate board state and life totals. Ghave acts as a modular mana sink that converts counters into creature tokens and recycles creatures into +1/+1 counters at instant speed. Supporting engines like Tendershoot Dryad, Mycoloth, and Thelon of Havenwood accelerate token production and provide substantial stat buffs, turning modest 1/1 tokens into lethal combat threats. While the list includes the infinite landfall-token loop of Life and Limb and Sporemound, its primary path to victory is wide combat damage and aristocratic life drain via Slimefoot, the Stowaway. The deck excels at board generation and engine recovery, though its reliance on combat and light protection leaves it exposed to sweepers.
