Deck overview

This mono-red deck is an aggressive forced-combat Voltron engine built around Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos. Alexios passes control to each player during their upkeep, untaps, gains a +1/+1 counter, and must attack a player other than its owner each combat. Because Alexios attacks four times per turn cycle, commander damage accumulates at an alarming pace. The deck surrounds Alexios with protective equipment such as Commander's Plate, Brotherhood Regalia, and Mithril Coat to prevent opponents from removing or blocking it. Damage doublers and double strike enablers like Two-Handed Axe, Fireshrieker, and Jeska, Thrice Reborn accelerate the clock, allowing Alexios to eliminate opponents in one or two hits. Reactive defense is maintained through mono-red redirection spells like Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend, which turn opposing spot removal into friendly removal. As an alternate win route, Aggravated Assault pairs with The Reaver Cleaver to generate infinite combat steps and lethal Treasure mana.
