Capt. Blackmold & Crew by KingBiscuit

Format: Commander

Commander: Xavier Sal, Infested Captain

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Sultai fungus/saproling deck uses spore counters and Xavier Sal to outvalue opponents with tokens, then closes through group drain. Xavier is both a proliferate and populate engine; the hidden commander Slimefoot, the Stowaway turns every dead Saproling into damage. Secondary paths include a Life and Limb + Sporemound loop (best with Mirkwood Bats) and a grind-y death-trigger engine using Perilous Forays and Priest of Forgotten Gods to feed tokens to drain effects. The deck is not a fast combo list; it wants to survive to a critical mass of tokens and drainers, then kill the table in one burst.
