Deck overview

Led by Teval, Arbiter of Virtue, this Sultai deck operates as a self-mill reanimation engine that exploits universal delve to cheat massive mana costs. Early turns focus on filling the graveyard via low-cost mill enablers such as Mesmeric Orb, Contingency Plan, and Skull Prophet. Once Teval enters the battlefield, the graveyard functions as an abundant mana reservoir, converting stocked cards into generic mana to cast game-altering spells like Rise of the Dark Realms, Breach the Multiverse, and large Exsanguinate casts for mere colored pips. Payoffs like Tormod, the Desecrator, Insidious Roots, and Teval's Judgment generate substantial token armies and card advantage whenever cards leave the graveyard to pay delve costs. The deck protects its setup with efficient counterspells such as Counterspell and Negate while managing life loss with Teval's lifelink and drain effects, culminating in overwhelming combat steps with reanimated creature swarms.
