Deck overview

This Golgari deck is a self-mill/delirium midrange build centered on Winter, Cynical Opportunist. It fills the graveyard with creatures, lands, instants, and sorceries, then uses Winter's attack and end-step delirium ability to put permanents onto the battlefield for free. The primary plan is to assemble a wide/tall board of Insects, Elementals, and reanimated beaters like Demolisher Spawn and Hornet Queen, then swing for lethal with trample and pump. Secondary paths involve draining opponents with Professor Onyx, Grist, the Hunger Tide, and Polluted Cistern. The commander is both a mill engine and a repeatable reanimation source; without him, Whip of Erebos, Deadbridge Chant, and Nyx Weaver keep the grind plan intact but slower.
