Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Dimir clone combo build centered entirely around Hidetsugu and Kairi. By utilizing the legend rule, every clone spell (Quasiduplicate, Cackling Counterpart, Rite of Replication) targeting the commander causes one copy to die immediately. This bypasses sacrifice outlets and death delays, triggering both the commander's Brainstorm-like enter-the-battlefield ability and its lethal death trigger simultaneously. The deck stacks massive mana value spells such as Time Stretch, Clone Legion, and Mnemonic Deluge onto the library, dealing substantial direct life loss to opponents while casting those spells for zero mana. The game plan focuses on establishing a mana base across turns 1 to 3, casting the commander on turn 4, and initiating a cascade of cloned death triggers on turn 5 to take extra turns and burn the table out.
