Deck overview

This deck is a mana-heavy Gruul landfall strategy centered on Omnath, Locus of Rage. Its early turns develop basics with Rampant Growth, Cultivate, Harrow, and similar effects. After reaching seven mana, Omnath, Locus of Rage turns each land into a 5/5 Elemental and converts Elemental deaths into direct damage. Zendikar's Roil, Terror of the Peaks, Champion of the Path, and Beastmaster Ascension provide additional pressure. The deck has useful card flow from Garruk's Uprising, Garruk's Packleader, Bitter Work, and Ohran Frostfang, but these engines are expensive and conditional. Its main weaknesses are limited access to specific payoffs, little protection, and no deterministic finish. It can build a threatening board in the midgame, but ordinary execution does not reliably create a table kill or lockout on a fixed clock.
