Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Mardu aggro-combo build centered on Kaalia of the Vast. The primary game plan accelerates Kaalia onto the battlefield on Turn 3 or 4, protecting her with free defensive spells like Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver. Upon attacking, Kaalia cheats massive, game-warping Angels and Demons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck leverages unconditional tutors to consistently find Master of Cruelties, which bypasses traditional life totals by reducing an unblocked opponent to 1 life before Kaalia delivers lethal combat damage. Secondary win conditions include Bloodletter of Aclazotz paired with Rush of Dread or combat overruns via Akroma's Will. While the deck features dense spot removal and strong individual threat quality, it remains fundamentally reliant on resolving and attacking with Kaalia to avoid hardcasting high-cost permanents.
