Deck overview

Baral is a mono-blue draw-go/control combo deck. Its primary plan is to drop Baral on turn two, use the discount and the draw-on-counter trigger to turn every counterspell into a cantrip, and then churn with cantrips and draw engines until one of several self-contained library-empty victories can be executed. The cheapest finisher is Leveler into Thassa's Oracle; Enter the Infinite plus any Oracle effect and the Panoptic Mirror/Time Warp lock are the secondary paths. Baral is not the engine, so the deck still functions if he stays in the command zone. The high interaction suite keeps attempts on the combo answerable, at the cost of a fairly slow assembly.
