Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Boros Dwarf-tribal and Treasure aggro deck commanded by Thorin, King of Durin's Folk. The primary strategy focuses on establishing an early board of low-cost Dwarf creatures and Treasure-generating Equipment during the first three turns, followed by resolving Thorin on Turn 5. Thorin converts every subsequent Dwarf ETB into a Treasure token while granting all other Dwarves +1/+0 for each artifact token in play. This creates explosive combat swings by Turn 6, where modest 2-power Dwarves become lethal attackers with 6 to 8 power each. Combat amplifiers like Reyav, Master Smith, Halvar, God of Battle, and Taunt from the Rampart ensure damage punches through blockers. The deck features reliable recovery and alternative win conditions through Equipment Voltron and Dragon payoffs.
