Deck overview

This mono-red Commander deck is piloted by Lathliss, Dragon Queen, focusing on a tribal stompy game plan that turns high-CMC Dragon spells into doubled flying board presence. The deck utilizes a suite of early mana rocks and cost reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman and Herald's Horn to accelerate into Lathliss by Turn 5. Once Lathliss is established, subsequent Dragon casts generate 5/5 Dragon tokens while triggering devastating ETB and combat effects from cards like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, Terror of Mount Velus, and Utvara Hellkite. The deck controls creature boards using damage sweepers like Blasphemous Act and Chandra's Ignition. While the deck generates massive evasive power and high burn damage, it operates with standard battlecruiser vulnerabilities: high dependence on permanent survival, limited stack interaction, and minimal dedicated protection against opposing removal or sweepers.
