Liesa by gwalker2104

Format: Commander

Commander: Liesa, Forgotten Archangel

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Liesa, Forgotten Archangel leads a white-black Angel midrange deck whose core plan is to outvalue opponents through recursive death triggers. The commander's engines are simple: your nontoken creatures come back to hand when they die, while enemy creatures are exiled. The deck pairs that loop with a lifelink-heavy flying board, repeated one-sided board-wipe recovery, and attrition from discard and targeted removal. Secondary paths include Angel token creation, graveyard recursion through Serra Paragon and The Soul Stone, and a low-cost hand-control plan with Thoughtseize and Inquisition. There is no double-faced commander worth planning around, and no true hidden commander. Liesa is the main engine, but the deck can fight as a normal Orzhov Angel list if she is unavailable.
