Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking leads a Sultai Elf deck that turns the graveyard into a toolbox. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard with Elves, then cast Thranduil to gain access to their activated abilities, especially mana abilities from Priest of Titania, Marwyn, and Elvish Archdruid. The deck also pressures with a wide Elf board, using lords like Thranduil, Sindarin Liege and Elvish Warmaster, and can finish with Lathril's drain or a large Genesis Wave. The commander's draw trigger on legendary Elves keeps the hand full while fueling the graveyard. The hidden commander is Haldir, Lorien Lieutenant, whose activated ability can turn a wide board into an overwhelming alpha strike. The deck is built to use Thranduil's front face as a recursive mana engine and value source.
